The Chesapeake is Proud to Honor Our Veterans and All Who Serve

As we celebrate our independence throughout the summer and beyond, we’re reminded of all the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have worn the uniforms of our armed forces. It is thanks to them that residents of The Chesapeake live lives filled with freedom — freedom from home maintenance and yard work, freedom to do the things they love, and freedom from worrying about the future. Our residents enjoy these freedoms as well as the peace of mind afforded to them by our Life Care program and the security in knowing that no matter what their care needs may include in the future, it will be provided for at The Chesapeake. In addition to exceptional home options, it’s amenities like restaurant-style dining, on-site programs and classes, and excursions to fun nearby highlights like Williamsburg and Virginia Beach that keep our residents happy and living life to its fullest. But the greatest freedom of all is calling this great nation home — a privilege bought and paid for by our veterans.

We are honored that so many real-life heroes — representing every branch of our military — have chosen to make our community their home. To show our appreciation for their service to our country, we have created the Veteran’s Honor Benefit for veterans and their spouses..

The Veteran’s Honor Benefit offers our veterans and their spouses the opportunity to save anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000 on a cottage or apartment. It is available to veterans, age 62 or older, not currently living at The Chesapeake who wish to live in one of our Independent Living cottages or apartments and are a member of the retired reserve or have received an honorable or general discharge from military service.
