The Chesapeake Hosts Socially Distant Easter Parade
Easter Parade at The Chesapeake Senior Retirement Community
With Easter right around the corner, the fitness team at The Chesapeake invited senior residents in Newport News, VA. and fellow team members to get outside, soak up some sunshine and spread holiday cheer. On April 8, dozens gathered from a social distance throughout the campus for an Easter parade. Participants donned Easter bonnets and waved bunny banners while getting steps in on the campus grounds. Some residents waved from the comfort of their front porches or balconies as the group passed by.
Participants said it was a great way to fellowship, get in a workout and enjoy some fresh air amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
