The Chesapeake’s Comprehensive Health Services
The benefits of living in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) like The Chesapeake are many. Residents in Independent Living enjoy The Chesapeake’s full calendar of events and activities, as well as the multitude of ways to stay physically active. They are engaged with life and the world around them—both on our campus and in the wider community—and it is this active, social lifestyle that helps them live longer, healthier lives with less risk of disease and disability.
But what about when one’s needs change? Living in a CCRC gives residents the confidence and peace of mind that come with knowing they have a secure plan in place for the future. The Chesapeake offers a complete continuum of health care that continually receives top ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Our levels of care include Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing. In addition, our Rehabilitation Therapy department offers a specially trained staff of occupational, physical and speech therapists who play a vital role in residents’ recovery following an illness or surgery. Residents can receive the care they need without leaving the community and friends they know and love.
When hospitalization may be needed, it’s comforting to know that three distinguished hospitals are located close by.
