December 16: COVID-19 Update
The Chesapeake COVID-19 Update 12/15/20
On December 15, while performing our weekly tests of residents and team members due to our recent positive cases, we had three residents that tested positive. We do not have any new positive cases of team members currently.
Family members of these residents were contacted yesterday. Contact tracing has been completed. Anyone who was identified as having close contact with any of the positive residents or team members has been notified directly.
The Virginia Department of Health has been notified of these positive tests and The Chesapeake team continues to follow all recommended guidelines for infection prevention and spread. All team members in the assisted living neighborhood were tested for COVID-19 and all the results were negative.
Visitation and activities for the assisted living and memory support neighborhoods are suspended until December 30 provided there are no additional positive cases.
The Chesapeake’s leadership team urges residents to continue wearing masks, keeping a social distance of at least six feet and practicing hand hygiene.
