February 1: COVID-19 Update
The Chesapeake COVID-19 Update 2/1/21
The Chesapeake’s leadership team learned on January 31 that an independent living resident tested positive for COVID-19. The resident was tested at an offsite location after developing mild symptoms. The resident is quarantining at home.
Contact tracing is underway. Any residents or team members who are identified as having close contact with the resident will be notified directly. The Virginia Department of Health has been notified of this positive case.
The Chesapeake will host its third vaccine clinic on February 9. Those who received the first dose on January 19 will receive the second dose on this date. Details are forthcoming.
Residents are urged to continue social distancing, wearing masks, and washing hands regularly. The Chesapeake’s leadership team appreciates the extended Chesapeake family’s patience, flexibility and understanding during this time. Please reach out with questions or concerns.
