January 12: COVID-19 Update
The Chesapeake’s leadership team continues to appreciate your support and patience as COVID-19 cases are reported in the community. Please continue to remain vigilant, wear proper protective equipment and wash your hands frequently.
New Positive Results to Report Are as Follows:
- One healthcare resident was identified on January 11.
- One assisted living team member was identified on January 12.
The COVID-19 positive resident is quarantined in the COVID Care area and the team member is quarantined at home. Anyone who is identified as having close contact will be contacted directly.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has been notified of the positive case. The Chesapeake’s team continues to follow all VDH recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus.
The leadership team’s priority continues to be the safety and well-being of residents and team members. Please remember that being fully vaccinated does not 100% protect an individual from contracting COVID or one of the variants.
