February 4: COVID-19 Update
The Chesapeake COVID-19 Update 2/4/21
The Chesapeake’s leadership team learned today that a member of the clinical team in the assisted living neighborhood tested positive for COVID-19. The positive case was identified during state-mandated routine baseline testing conducted on February 2.
The team member has been removed from the schedule and is quarantining at home until the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) return-to-work criteria are met. The team member is asymptomatic, and no residents or other team members are exhibiting symptoms. Contact tracing is underway. Any residents or team members who are identified as having close contact with the resident will be notified directly. VDH has been notified of this positive case.
The Chesapeake will host its third vaccine clinic on February 9. Those who received the first dose on January 19 will receive the second dose on this date. Details are forthcoming.
